Entrecard Users: Wanna Win 10,000ec?

Yes, you heard me right. If you're an Entrecard member you can win 10,000ec just by creating a link and posting a blog post. This really nice guy over at Lil Wayne John is giving away 10,000ec to one lucky winner *AND* not only that, but you also get to list your blog in his Link Listing site and help gain traffic to your site, FREE! :) C'mon, can't get much better than that, right? Didn't think so.

I added my link to Home/Family category. It should be listed there in the next couple of days. It can't hurt to sign up, it might just drive a little more traffic to your site. Not only that, but while the Link Listing site is being built, Wayne isn't requiring a link back to his site, although it is appreciated.

So head on over to Lil Wayne John's blog sign up to win 10,000ec!

New Layout

I'm trying out a new layout. I've been having problems getting stupid templates installed, but this one worked so I'm going to work with it and see what I can come up with. I love having so much space to be able to organize everything. I might actually be able to make something of this blog.

Computer update: Under warranty for another year! New power supply cord coming in 3 to 5 business days. Old cord seems to be holding up for now, but I also haven't moved the computer very much. I hope it holds out!

I HATE COMPUTERS

I'm so starting to hate computers! Laptop was fine all day (has been fine since I got it back from HP.) I bring the computer in the bedroom to go to bed and realize that the monitor isn't bright (next time I'm opting for TruBright screen!) I check the back connection. That's fine. I check the power supply connection. No light. Push the plug into the wall and still no light and now the power supply is emitting a funny squeeky, beepy noise. But it won't power the laptop.

I'm fairly confident that the power supply is shot. *GROANS* GREAT!

At least I have the "backup" power supply cord. The one that's electrical taped to hell to make it work, but it'll get me through till I can get a new supply.

The ONLY saving grace I have is the fact that the desktop is fixed and I can actually use that one. I just don't like using it much because it keeps me locked in my room instead of out with the family. *shrug* Oh well, that's life, eh?

Stupid computers. Why do I have one anyway? (Okay I have three, but still!)

5 Year Old Reprimanded for Talking About Faith

I'm almost glad I don't live in England. Although, the First Amendment doesn't mean complete freedom of speech, at least I know I can't be reprimanded for speaking about God.

I am by no means an overtly religious person, but I don't believe a five year old should be reprimanded for speaking out about her faith. On top of the little girl being pulled aside and talked to in school, her mom is being investigated for sending an e-mail to friends, from her personal computer, asking for them to pray for the situation. I am terribly appalled that this can happen in our world, and further disgusted that it seems to be only geared towards Christian faiths.

Intolerable.

Happy Birthday to Me

I know, I haven't been around for a while, but things have gotten severly hectic around here. Especially since my birthday was Saturday. :) YAY! I'm yet another year older. Although, it wasn't that bad turning 32 this year. I still can't believe I'm 32...I don't feel 32. I don't act 32...but I am...I guess it's a good thing.

I got a new day planner from mom, a digital keychain from Ryder and a Dymo (YAY!) from Jeremy. Friday Jeremy, Lee, Em and I went to see Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans and was is great. It was totally want I needed, even though I wanted to go see Coraline. Jeremy promised me we'd go see Coraline before it was out of the theaters, so that makes me happy.

So Saturday we went out to find something for my birthday and the car was fine. Jer and I go out later that night to go rent Madagascar for Ryder and all of a sudden I have a flat tire. We had to hit every gas station on the way home to put air in the tire (cos of course, my spare is fubared!) Thanfully, there was a shop open on Sunday that I got a tire from and my mom's best friend was able to give me a ride to pick the tire up...but it was just one more thing that I didn't want to have to deal with...at least the wheel is no longer shaking and it's not making a funny noise anymore. YAY! Apparently said flat tire also had a bad cord in it that was screwing the driving up. Now, only to fix the valve cover gaskets and the van will be 100% again. YAY! (Well, that and pick up all new tires soon cos we haven't got any since we got the van three years ago.

Other than the icky stuff that happened on my birthday, it was overall a good birthday. :) I'm lucky to have wonderful family and friends. A great little two year old. A decent car. A roof over my head. A loving boyfriend (yes, Jer and I are officially back together!) I'd like to think that I'm living a pretty good life. :) It's *almost* perfect. :)

Computers Suck

I'm really starting to hate computers more than anyone can imagine. I've been having problems with my desktop for eons. It started with it freezing up after using it for a while and then it started not booting.

Reinstalled Windows. Worked for a few days and started doing the same thing again. I even had my cousin, the computer guru, work on it. It worked for my cousin, but it kept freezing up on me at my house.

So I gave up for a while.

Put a new hard drive in. Worked fine. Installed XP SP2. Froze up on reboot.

I give up. I don't understand what the problem with the computer is. It can't be the motherboard...at least I don't think it can be. I mean...if it was the motherboard, it wouldn't start up at all would it? It'd tell me that there were no hard drives or something was wrong, wouldn't it? The only other thing I can think of is to switch out the IDE cords. (SHUT UP! I know, I'm not on SATA yet!)

Any ideas would be appreciated? I'm getting sick of always having to use my laptop and not having a spare computer when Jeremy or my mom want to use the computer when I'm trying to do something.
